​Burniduque

Howdy, I’m JLS Queen of Hearts Duke of Burning Rubber STAR CGC, but folks just call me Burniduque (Burn-a-Duke). I come from JLS Dalmatians, an AKC Breeder of Merit out in Kansas with over 30 years of know-how in raising top-notch Dals. My hearing and eyesight are both clear, and I got my PennHIP evaluation coming soon.

My sire’s a Grand Champion from Las Vegas, holding Canine Good Citizen (CGC) and Farm Dog Certified titles and most recently earning the Versatility Award from the Dalmatian Club of America. My bloodline’s got some real champions—my great-great-grandsire, Newt, was the #1 Dalmatian in the U.S. and my uncle won Best of Breed at Crufts. Talk about some royal spots!

I kicked off my obedience training at Rocking Paw Dog Training near Ropesville, TX, where I locked in my AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy and CGC titles. I’ve also been studying Puppy Culture’s conformation series and taking notes from the Dog Whisperer, Cesar Millan through his Pack Leadership Community. My owner’s got big plans for me—next up, we’re working toward a Community Canine title, and fixing to go through one of the only positive reinforcement Snake Aversion trainings in the country taught by Ken Ramirez himself through Karen Pryor Dog Academy. My end goal? Becoming a therapy dog with Pet Partners and SkillChecked by Karen Pryor.

Last year, I strutted my stuff and took home Best of Breed and Best of Winners in conformation. This year? I won a Winners Reserve at my first major/specialty in Fort Worth, Owner-Handled Best of Breed in Amarillo, and Best of Winners in Roswell! But this is just the start—I’m ready to show off just how versatile, hardworking, and downright special a Dalmatian can be in the AKC sports world. Let’s ride!
